When I heard from Diana last month, she had narrowed her college choices down to three, and she was working on the financial aid paperwork. That’s done, and it’s down to the big decision. Read her full interview below!
Meet the Class gets updated each month from September to May. Each installment features an interview about both the facts and the feelings of where the student is in the process.

Diana ATTENDS A Public HIGH SCHOOL IN Texas
Last month you had pretty much narrowed your list down to three: Baylor, University of Oklahoma, and Texas Tech. Is that still the case, or has anything changed?
Nothing has changed there.
How will you make your final decision? What will be the factors? Who do you go to for advice on things this big?
The deciding factor will be the financial aid. I’m talking about it extensively with my parents, because I truly don’t know yet.
You were hoping to go on another visit to OU. Have you made it yet? If not, do you still think you will? What were you looking for (or what will you be looking for) while on campus?
I’m heading to Oklahoma this week. I want to visit again just to see if I still see myself there.
Looking ahead to next year, wherever it is: do you have a sense of what you'll major in? What sorts of clubs or activities interest you? All of your front runners have pretty big sports programs and school spirit. Does that appeal to you? Or more broadly: are you beginning to see yourself in college and think about how things will be different? What are you most looking forward to?
I want to major in psychology and possibly pursue a pre-med track. I’m not sure what activities I want to be involved in yet because I’m mainly focused on where I’m going instead of what I’ll do when I get there. School spirit does appeal to me a lot, because I think that being in a community where everyone is passionate about where they are is important. It’s getting very real that I will be leaving to a school I haven’t yet chosen, but I’m very excited for the change and the fresh start that comes with it.
Did you get the financial aid documents squared away? How is that process going?
I have gotten the financial aid settled and I’ve received my offers, it’s just about making my decision at this point.
